Tribal women wait on the second floor verandah in Chowki Police station, Bhopal.
On the day I was there, the station was crowded with hundreds of tribal villagers who were contesting their rights on land use. This is a growing concern, and this scene equates to a minute amount of the overall Indian population who are suffering the loss of their land from corrupt officials are selling off land use rights which were not theirs to begin with. Money and power wield a heavy hand on the tribals as they are constantly being manipulated by the developing nations lust for foreign business investment.
