I recently went back to my homeland and saw my parents for the first time in 7 years, and it was a compelling occasion because there are so many things one learns about ones self when one is confronted with the people who are responsible for your existence. Its not as easy to identify that when you see them on a regular basis.
I watch as my parents decline and fade. It is momentus, overwhelming, beautiful and assuring.

The last line of this entry is startlingly beautiful, and I want to hear more of your thoughts on it.

Im replying to this as you lay here by my side, in the warmth of biology and organic cerebral consciousness.

There is something defining in the occupation of space when that space is known. As children we do not know our volume because we have no way of comprehending what it is we later grow to understand as relativity within boundaries. In this I understand as I get older and feel myself and understand my ‘self’ in the mirror that my parents are, and I can feel the machinations of my physical existence slow down, the meat and bone harmoninze with the time that is my age, as the accent levels off and its here that I realize now, that my parents are ahead of me in this and its their presence that once again helps me to comprehend the fear of the future in a real of age that Im just now coming to terms with.
